George Sadek at Cooper Union
This Rietveld Red Blue chair belonged to the George Sadek, who served as a professor and dean of the Cooper Union School of Architecture from 1966 to 1992. Sadek founded the institution's Center for Design and Typography in 1979; the first school of is kind, it has been credited for dramatically changing graphic design education through assigning students real-life projects for non-profit organizations – the Kennedy Center, the American Academy in Rome, and New York City mayor's office among them. Sadek kept this Rietveld chair in his office until his death, in 2007.
